Emin is built on a simple principle: your habits are your business, and no one else's. This policy explains, in plain terms, how the app handles information on your device.
We take your privacy seriously, and we have designed Emin — Habit Tracker around a strict offline-first, local-storage-only architecture. Unlike most habit-tracking applications, Emin does not communicate with any remote server, cloud service, or third-party platform during normal use. Every habit you create, every check-in you log, and every statistic the app calculates lives exclusively on your device.
This Privacy Policy describes our approach to your information and is intended to give you full confidence that using Emin does not expose your personal life, routines, or behavioral patterns to anyone, including us.
Emin collects zero personal data. There are no user accounts to create, no sign-up forms, no email addresses to submit, and no names, phone numbers, or biometric identifiers requested at any point in the app.
We do not know who you are, we do not want to know who you are, and the app is fully functional without ever asking.
Because no account or profile is required, there is no login credential, password, or authentication token stored anywhere — locally or remotely. There is also no advertising identifier, device fingerprint, or usage telemetry collected for marketing or analytics purposes.
All information generated through your use of Emin — including habit definitions, scheduling preferences, streak history, completion logs, and configuration settings — is stored solely inside a local database on your device, built using the Drift library on top of SQLite.
Because this data resides only in local storage, uninstalling the app, clearing app data, or resetting your device will permanently remove it, unless you have created a local export beforehand.
Emin requests only the minimum permissions required for its core functionality to work as intended:
No permission requested by Emin is used to collect, transmit, or share information with us or with any third party.
Because Emin does not collect, store remotely, transmit, or process any personal data whatsoever, the app is safe for use by children. There is no mechanism by which a child's information — or any user's information — could be gathered, profiled, or shared, since the entire application operates offline and locally.
Parents and guardians can be confident that Emin does not present the data-collection risks typically associated with connected or account-based applications.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements to the app, changes in applicable law, or clarifications to our practices. When we do, the revised policy will be included with the relevant app update, and the "Effective Date" at the top of this document will be revised accordingly.
We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Emin after an updated policy is made available constitutes your acknowledgment of the changes.
